
Former Captain of the Black Stars, Stephen Appiah this morning called on the Director-General, Brigadier General Martin Ahiaglo (Rtd) at Fortune House, Accra.
The National Peace Council on 18th January named Stephen Appiah as the Peace and Unity Ambassador ahead of the 2016 General Elections. As part of Stephen Appiah’s nationwide campaign to promote peace before, during and after the elections, Primeval Media acting on behalf of Stephen Appiah will organize the UNITY MATCH FOR PEACE 2016 in June.
Two international friendly matches will be played between a world select team and Asante Kotoko on 8th June and another with the Black Stars on 11th June. Some of the players include Sol Campbel, Emile Heskey, Didier Drogba, Samuel Etoo, Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari, George Boateng and Steve Mcmanaman.
Stephen Appiah in the company of Managing Director of Primeval Media, Larry OpareOtoo, asked NLA to support him in the quest to promote peace through the nation’s common unifier, football. Brigadier General Martin Ahiaglo (Rtd) who described the initiative as a laudable one pledged NLA’s support to the cause for peace.
