The Director General, Mr Samuel Awuku, was on Monday, 27th May 2024, awarded the Overall Public Sector CEO of the Year Award at the 8th Ghana CEO Summit and Excellence Awards. This marks his second consecutive win of this award highlighting a remarkable achievement that not only underscores his exceptional leadership but also his profound impact on the lottery industry.

The Director General was also recognized as the CEO of the Year in the lottery Industry and attributed this achievement to the collective hard work, dedication, innovation, and commitment of the NLA's Management and Staff.

Mr. Awuku was honoured for his leadership in steering the affairs of the NLA towards success and making a positive impact through innovation and digitalization across its various business operations in the public sector.

Under Mr. Awuku's visionary leadership, the National Lottery Authority has gained recognition in the sub-region and among lottery bodies, where he serves as the first-ever elected Anglophone Vice President of the African Lotteries Association (ALA).

This year’s summit gathered over 500 CEOs, business leaders, industry captains, and market leaders, including former President H.E. John Mahama and Vice President of Ghana H.E. Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who joined the session via Zoom
