On Friday, 14th February 2025, the Director-General, Mr Mohammed Abdul-Salam, paid a courtesy call on the Gbese Mantse, His Royal Majesty, Nii Ayi Bontey II.

The visit was for the DG to introduce himself to the Gbese Mantse in whose jurisdiction the NLA resides and seek his life blessings for a successful tenure.

He cited the harmonious relationship that existed between the former Director-General, Hon. Samuel Awuku, and the Gbese Traditional Council and expressed his commitment to further strengthen this relationship.

HRM Nii Ayi Bontey II congratulated Mr.Abdul-Salam on his appointment and assured him of his support. He also informed the DG that he is open to collaborating with the NLA to further develop the Gbese community.

Mr Abdul-Salam , in turn, reaffirmed the NLA’s willingness to work with the Gbese community, particularly in supporting cultural events such as the Homowo Festivities.

In keeping with tradition, drinks and a cash donation were presented.
