ALA SEMINAR ON RESPONSIBLE GAMING
The African Lotteries Association (ALA) Seminar on Responsible Gaming, hosted by the National Lottery Authority, brought together about 150 delegates and participants from Africa, Europe and North America.
These include the leadership of the World Lottery Association (WLA) and ALA, Director-Generals from ALA and non- member DGs as well as stakeholders in the lottery industry.
The speakers included the President of WLA, Mme. Rebecca Paul, the President of ALA, Mr. Dramane Coulibaly, the General Secretary of WLA, Mme. Lynne Roiter and the General Secretary of ALA, Mr Younes El Mechrafi.
Other local speakers were the Minister for Justice and Attorney General, Mr Godfred Yeboah Dame, the Solicitor-General, Mrs. Helen Akpene Ziwu, the Group Chairman of KGL Limited, Mr. Alex Daddey and the Deputy Director-General, Mme Anna Horma Miezah.
The Director-General, Mr, Samuel Awuku who hosted his colleagues and other delegates, welcomed them to Accra and charged them to ensure that the resolutions taken to ensure Responsible Gaming, particularly weaning minors off the practice, are adhered to.
