Hundreds of people thronged the Oguaamanhen's palace on Saturday 3rd September 2022 to witness the first live draw in Cape Coast.

The crowd, excited to see Comedian, Kalybos, ace actor, Akrobeto, actress Jessica Williams and the Authority's presenters, Beryl Adom and Nancy Darko mobbed them and shared their predictions of what numbers would be drawn.

A ballot was conducted to decide which machine should be used for the draw after which the draw was held.

 22, 44, 37, 33, and 25 were the numbers drawn for the National Weekly Lotto for Saturday 3rd September 2022.

The palace was thrown into a state of euphoria, with some persons mounting the stage to show off their winning tickets.

After the draw, the presenters educated the people on Responsible Gaming, Activities of Fraudsters on social media, Options for Prize Redemption, and the Good Causes Foundation.

Nana Kwaw Ackon, Twafohene of the Oguaa Traditional Area thanked NLA for bringing honour to Oguaaman and called for more community draws.

The Deputy Director-General, Mme. Anna Horma Miezah who chaired the Draw Committee, comprising a representative of the judicial service, (a judge) and a representative from the Ministry of Finance, supervised the draw.

The draw was also televised live on United Television. (UTV).

The objective of holding community draws is to demystify the draw process and bring the draw closer to the people to engender excitement for the game.
