FOOD BAZAAR AND COOKING COMPETITION
Clad in their Gino aprons and chef hats, representatives of the eight contending groups and their Regional virtual support affiliates, were all set to battle it out in the competition on Friday 21st October 2022.
Each team was tasked to prepare their meals within two hours, using only ingredients supplied by the Gino officials.
Banku with tilapia, Yam with garden eggs stew, Fried plantain with beans stew, Rice balls with peanut butter soup, Fufu with light soup, Etew and fante-fante and Jollof with chicken were the dishes prepared by the competing groups.
After the competition, Group 6, comprising the Greater Accra Regional Office, Legal and IT Departments were crowned winners with their Banku and grilled tilapia dish.
Group 7, comprising the Eastern Regional Office, Administration (Transport and General Services) and Security Departments came in second with their Fried plantain and beans stew dish while Group 2 comprising the Regional Offices in the North, Sales and Customer Service Departments were third with their Jollof and chicken dish.
The winners and all competing groups were presented with electronic appliances and hampers from Gino.
The cooking competition was held at the Head Office and in all the Regional Offices.
